Which study program?

 

  • Some students study towards Cambridge exams.  The basic elementary level is KET, then PET, then FCE, then CAE, for advanced level. These Cambridge exam certificates remain valid forever.
  • Some students study towards another Cambridge exam, called IELTS.  This is usually for those who want to study in a college or university abroad, or to live and work abroad. The IELTS certificate is only valid for two years.
  • Some students focus on one or more areas in which they have weaknesses. Sometimes reading, sometimes writing, speaking or listening. Usually teachers or parents ask for one of these areas to be focused on.
  • Some students study to improve their speaking skills, for when go abroad.
  • Some students study English language films and TV shows, because they enjoy watching and discussing them. Watching native speakers is a great way to improve language skills, especially listening.
  • Some students do a mixture of everything.
  • Some students work for banks and businesses and study Business English.
  • Some students are computer programmers and need Technical English.
  • Some students want to learn Practical English for going on holiday abroad ( how to book a hotel, reserve a hire car,  book a flight, over the telephone or online. Or how to check into a hotel, order a meal in a restaurant, return an item to a shop, buy a ticket to visit a museum etc).
  • Some students don’t know why they want to study English. They just want to talk.
  • Some students love reading and books, or are studying literature and they want to read English language novels together, then discuss them.
  • Some students want to combine learning English by watching films and TV shows, together with grammar practice.
